The days are getting shorter, the lights of the Eiffel Tower now come on earlier, and while I miss the warm summer days, this time of year is also quite magical. There is a sense of peace and tranquility that is not so evident in the warm months when so many tourists are in Paris.
This romantic evening surprise proposal began on the very popular and scenic Bir Hakeim bridge. This bridge has a lovely view of the Eiffel Tower, and right now, the fall colors on the trees surrounding the Eiffel Tower are in full "bloom". It won't be this way for much longer, but we're enjoying it for the moment!
I met this really cute couple on the bridge. They took some time to admire the Eiffel Tower, and being in Paris together. Then, Martin got down on one knee and asked Vanessa to spend the rest of his life with her. She said yes!!!
I'm always so excited for couples right after their engagement. I remember the excitement of becoming engaged myself, and how it's this moment you dream of, think about, for a long time, and when it finally happens it's really powerful and amazing. And in the City of Lights, no less! What is more romantic than a view of the Eiffel Tower?
It was a rainy afternoon, but no worries, an umbrella makes a really cute prop and as it started to get dark, the Eiffel Tower lit up in its glory. I so enjoyed meeting this couple and photographing their engagement in this gorgeous city.
My very best wishes to them!
