Baguette fight in Paris at Trocadero Eiffel Tower

One of the most memorable photo experiences ever!

Kathryn and Eric were visiting Paris from Boston, Massachusetts (did I spell that right, always was a tricky state to spell!) and from the moment I met them, I knew they were special. They were dressed beautifully, in gorgeous blue, which was really striking against the backdrop of the Eiffel Tower.

I was curious as to what Kathryn had in the bag she was carrying, it looked like a couple of baguettes. Indeed, it was! Kathryn explained that they intended to use the famous baguette (the most delicious bread you can ever try in Paris, crisp on the outside, deliciously soft on the inside) as props for a sword fight.

Say what?

1-2-3 Draw your baguettes!

How was this going to work, I wondered? In addition to doing the dreamy, and romantic couples shots I love, I was curious to see what this pair had in store. Eric took his baguette out of the bag, and Kathryn hers. What ensued was the most creative and fun use of props I've seen! In fact, I was laughing so much I was trying not to laugh and create too much motion, no blurry photos wanted! Actually, I'm a professional, so my photos would never be blurry anyway, but there's no doubt I was laughing! It was adorable!

To the staircase!

When I told Kathryn our next location was the staircases, she was happy. So many people see the famous staircases at Trocadero on Pinterest or other sites and want to pose there themselves. This makes perfect sense, as the staircases are indeed beautiful. They're sometimes difficult to photograph, due to the popularity of photographs there, but if you wait long enough you can get your shots.

A carousel and some flowers

I absolutely love the carousel at Trocadero and the gardens too. They're not the best gardens in Paris by a long shot, the gardens at Trocadero, but sometimes you just need a little color. My goal is to create romantic and dreamy art for my clients, and I mean, how can you do that without a carousel? I jest, but I have found myself drawn to its pretty colors, of course with the Eiffel Tower looking over its shoulder.
