Fun and romantic anniversary photo session in Montmartre | Paris anniversary photographer
Amazing couple in Montmartre
I know that clients who choose Montmartre for their Picture Me Paris photo session are very special, and looking for something very unique and different. The Eiffel Tower, is of course, the most famous location for couples photos in Paris and it makes so much sense. But for those looking for something colorful in all seasons, and a bit off the beaten track, nothing oozes charm more than Montmartre.
So where is Montmartre?
Montmartre is the highest natural point in the city of Paris. Overlooking the city, it offers amazing vantage points, colorful buildings, and this vibrant energy that drew in artists like Monet, Toulouse-Lautrec, Van Gogh, and so many more. If you close your eyes, you can imagine the bawdy dance halls back in the day, the can can dancers, and the elegance of the ballerinas, who were captured by Edgar Degas. Montmarte is a mix of charming old, funky street art, and loads of tourists. But if you come in the morning, it’s a bit quieter!
Anniversary photo session
I can’t think of a more delightful couple to spend my morning with than Bob and Meggie, visiting Paris from Seattle. Not their first time in the City of Light, they were glad to be back and roaming the streets of Montmartre again. They celebrated their one-year anniversary earlier this year and have all the youth and vibrance of a newlywed couple. Exceedingly kind and gracious, we talked about everything under the sun, including our love of travel.
Once a tour guide, always a tour guide
As a former professional tour guide for Warner Bros Studios in Los Angeles, one of my many jobs over the years, I love movie locations, and places that look like movie sets. Montmartre ticks so many of the boxes for a person like me, and gives me great joy to show clients the little spots I love and treasure, which are perfect for photography. I also love to point out the small things that make Montmartre special!
