Delightful and romantic engagement session at the Eiffel Tower and Louvre
Rarely do you meet people as warm, friendly, and kind as Chloe and Michael. Okay, i take that back, in my work here as a photographer in Paris, I meet tons of wonderful people, and for that I’m incredibly grateful. But there was something so special about Chloe and Michael, who were visiting Paris from the United States. They were recently engaged, and visiting Paris. I found that we had a lot in common, including being runners, and so talking about running and our lives was just so enjoyable!
La Tour Eiffel and then Le Louvre
Chloe told me they definitely wanted some engagement photos at the Eiffel Tower, and I couldn’t agree more that it’s a great idea! The Eiffel Tower, which was constructed for the World’s Fair, and completed in 1889, for all this time has stood as the symbol of love, romance and of course, Paris. To not photograph with it would be a bit of a crime I think!
I took Chloe and Michael to some pretty vantage points, including my favorite, the Bir Hakeim bridge, as well as Trocadero.
From there, we hopped in a taxi just across town to the world’s most visited museum, the Louvre Museum. However, before we photographed in the elegant courtyards of the Louvre, I asked the couple if they minded popping into the nearby garden.
Jardin de Tuileries in early autumn
The most famous garden in all of Paris is the Jardin de Tuileries. Why? Well, it’s a spectacular garden to be sure, but its proximity to the Louvre, the Arc de Triomphe, and the famous street, Champs Elyseés, are definitely also reasons why this garden is so lovely. It’s also time for autumn and the change of leaves. The leaves in Paris are not as spectacular as in some cities, but still really pretty and I enjoyed photographing Chloe and Michael with the leaves, and the carousel, my favorite in Paris.
Didn’t want to say goodbye
I had so much fun during this Paris engagement photo session, that I didn’t want to say goodbye! I could have easily spent several more hours with this gorgeous couple. I truly thank them for choosing me as their photographer in Paris, and I wish them the most amazing, joyful life together, and of course…I hope to see them again!
