Bright and colorful early December Paris photo experience, couple in love

Couple in love in Paris

I was so happy to be contacted by Eyal for a couples photo session in Paris. Eyal is from the beautiful country of Israel, land of endless sunshine and my very favorite mint tea! He and his lovely wife Dalia were coming to Paris on a wonderful holiday, just the two of them, and Eyal wanted to capture their time in Paris.

While they’d been to Paris before, it had been 20 years, and I was excited to show them around this city that I love so much.

I was fortunate to be able to photograph not only a couple so beautiful on the outside, but on the inside too. They were energetic, lively and fun! Whats more, they were up for anything.

Like most couples coming to Paris, they really wanted some photographs at the Eiffel Tower, so we began our photo experience there. The day before had been super rainy and gloomy, but we were thrilled on this day to have some partial sunshine and no rain.

No worries though about the rain, as rainy days can actually make for some dreamy photos.

But today the rain was not to be, and we enjoyed a lovely three hour photo excursion through Paris.

From the Eiffel Tower to the Golden Bridge

After we finished at the Eiffel Tower, we headed to the most ornate and maybe most famous bridge in Paris, the Pont Alexandre III. I absolutely love photographing here, as the bridge is just beautiful, I’ve loved it since I was a kid and visited here for the first time. Plus, there’s a nice view of the Eiffel Tower from the bridge as well.

I was having so much fun, Eyal and Dalia brought a suitcase with various outfits. I could not believe how many outfits Dalia had packed in that suitcase, one beautiful dress after another. Plus she had all kinds of cute accessories like berets, scarves and gloves. Eyal, not to be outdone, also had a number of shirts he changed into, and he even changed into glasses and a hat for a few of the shots.

For a photographer, it was super fun to sort of play “dress up” with clients, and I was really impressed with the amount of thought they’d put into their Paris photo session!

A grand finale at the Luxembourg Gardens

After we completed everything we wanted to do at the Pont Alexandre, we ventured farther east to my favorite garden in Paris, the Luxembourg Gardens. Despite the fact that it was early December and not much was blooming, there were still a few colorful leaves on the trees and the planters at the Medicis Fountain contain colorful chrysanthemums.

The fountain is where we started, it was super popular this day, with various tour groups stopping by. Dalia wore a long, elegant white dress here, and it looked stunning on her, especially with the beautiful sunlight shining on her face. There were a lot of ducks swimming around in the fountain, which made for a super peaceful atmosphere.

A typically Parisian scene

After speaking with Eyal and Dalia about their photo shoot throughout the morning, I suggested we finish by doing some “classic” Parisian shots, what people think of when they think of Paris. We went behind the Luxembourg Gardens, and not far from the church of St. Sulpice and photographed on some of the most charming cobblestones in Paris (if you ask me), and finished up with coffee at a charming café in the bustling St. Germain area.

Wow! What a morning! I had so much fun with this beautiful couple, and loved the variety of it all. From our Parisian locations to their colorful and varied outfits. It was more fun than anyone should have on a Tuesday morning!

My thanks to Eyal and Dalia for choosing me to capture their precious Parisian memories, and I hope to see them back again very soon in Paris!
